CloudVision as a Service

Arista's recurring subscription layer — network-wide automation, telemetry, AI Job Observability, and AVA root-cause analysis. Monthly term billing on the cloud-hosted service, or run on your own CVP cluster when compliance requires it.

CloudVision as a Service
The Subscription Model

Monthly term, scoped per managed device

CloudVision functionality is offered as a monthly subscription, for an agreed-upon term. SKUs reflect this with one-month increments — for example, SS-CV-G2-SWITCH-1M for a Group-2 switch entitlement, or SS-CVS-WAN1-1M for a WAN entitlement. The CVaaS subscription pairs with EOS perpetual licenses on the underlying hardware: licenses give you the operating system, the subscription gives you the automation, telemetry, and AI-driven operations layer on top.

Cloud Subscription vs On-Prem

Pick the deployment that fits your operational model

Same software, different operational responsibility. Sourced from the Arista CV-CUE datasheet's deployment matrix.

Cloud Subscription (CVaaS)

Arista hosts. You consume. No CVP cluster to operate or patch.
  • Monthly term billing (-1M SKU increments)
  • Browser-based access — Chrome, Firefox, Edge
  • Latest features as Arista releases them
  • Best fit: distributed enterprises, branch/campus, multi-site

CVP Cluster (On-Prem)

You host. You control. For compliance, air-gap, or data-residency requirements.
  • 3-node cluster on Arista DCA appliances or your VMs
  • Alma Linux base; bare-metal or VM
  • Air-gap and regulated environments compatible
  • Best fit: government, regulated finance, air-gap
Sizing the On-Prem Cluster

Capacity per three-node cluster

A standard cluster (28 CPUs, 52 GB RAM, 2 TB SSDs per node) handles up to 250 switches + 3,000 access points. A large cluster (70 CPUs, 116 GB RAM, 6 TB SSDs per node) handles up to 1,000 switches + 5,000 APs. Beyond that, multi-cluster federation via Multi-Cloud Director coordinates several clusters under one operational view.

What CVaaS Operates

The capabilities included

Both Cloud Subscription and on-prem CVP cluster expose substantially the same feature set; specific availability per deployment mode is confirmed at quote time.

Network-wide automation

Zero Touch Provisioning, configuration management, and change orchestration across the entire EOS fleet — wired and wireless.

Telemetry & analytics

Real-time streaming telemetry, LANZ micro-burst detection, Wi-Fi analytics, RF optimization, and network profiling.

AVA root-cause analysis

Autonomous Virtual Assist — AI-driven diagnosis of channel contention, interference, association/auth/DHCP failures with recommended fixes.

Security & compliance

WIPS, integrated edge threat management, RBAC, automatic updates and upgrades. Audit trail for change management.
Adjacent Subscription

CloudVision Pathfinder Service for SD-WAN

Enterprise SD-WAN routing has its own subscription offering — CloudVision Pathfinder Service. Same monthly-term model (SS-CVS-WAN1-1M SKU pattern), different operational scope. Talk to our team if your deployment includes WAN/SD-WAN routing in addition to the data-center and campus fabric.
